The World Dementia Council is holding a high-level virtual roundtable focused on early lessons from delivering treatments to patients. It is the first of three virtual roundtable focused on the impact of treatments ahead of a high-level summit, hosted by the World Dementia Council in London on the impact of distruption in March 2025. 

The roundtable discussions will help shape a policy paper that will be published later in the year. This high level dialogue will bring together leading researchers, industry, policymakers and advocates to discuss current challenges and explore collaborative opportunities within the region.

  • Meet the chairs and speakers

    Chaired by Dr Maria Carrillo and Professor Philip Scheltens. There will be opening remarks from Professor Gil Rabinovici, Professor Reisa Sperling and Professor Donna Wilcock with reflections from Dr Cath Mummey. This will be followed by an expert virtual roundtable expert dialogue.

  • The era of treatments

    Treatments mark a fundamental change for the field and overtime the experience and care of people with dementia - even if to date the first treatments are only approved and funded in a few countries. The World Dementia Council is launching a new project exploring the impact and public policy implications of new treatments and the early lessons from the roll out of these first treatments. The project begins with three virtual dialogues for global experts.
