Lima Peru 13 May 2025

This inaugural one-day WDC Satellite Summit, hosted in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association will explore the public policy response to the challenge of dementia in Latin America and the Caribbean. Given the rapidly ageing population, policymakers need to urgently address the challenges dementia presents. The 2025 WDC Satellite Summit will challenge participants to think boldly and offer solutions from prevention, to research and care and ask how advocacy can help secure those advances.

The one-day Summit will have a number of different plenary sessions over the day. All the sessions are “in conversation” format. We don’t ask panellists to make presentations/give speeches. We encourage spontaneous conversation and a lot of interaction between panellists and the audience.

The Summit will hear the perspectives of politicians, policymakers, the research community, industry, care providers and advocates.

There will be simultaneous translation in Spanish and English. Registration will open in early 2025.
