Looking to the future: The dementia landscape
A research-focused WDC summit meeting took place on Monday 6 December as a virtual event (originally planned to be held in London, UK). It is a shame we couldn’t meet in-person as planned, but the UK Government’s increased travel restrictions, along with quickly changing situations around the world, meant it was in the interests of safety that we didn't go ahead in-person in London.
A re-scheduled summit is taking place in-person back in London on 28 March 2022.
The shorter programme included three sessions focused on advances in science and the full programme, as well as full transcripts from those session, can be found below.
Because of the need to accommodate timezones, we focused this discussion on the science and research agenda. This event follows the series of global dialogues as part of the WDC’s dementia landscape project, with summit discussions building on previous conversations of international dementia leaders around data sharing (session 1), innovation and incentives (session 2) and asked whether or not the dementia community was on track (session 3).
